Our team proudly contributed to the restoration of the West Block of the Canadian Parliament, a project combining heritage preservation with modern upgrades.
Our team played a critical role in revitalizing this iconic structure, working with advanced construction techniques to strengthen the building’s foundation, upgrade mechanical and electrical systems, and incorporate seismic reinforcements. Throughout the project, we ensured that the integrity of the original Gothic Revival architecture was preserved, from the intricate stone carvings to the restoration of historic windows and roofing. The 19th-century Gothic Revival building was revitalized to meet current safety and environmental standards, while maintaining its historical features. Key elements included foundation reinforcement, seismic upgrades, and mechanical overhauls. Additionally, the interior was redesigned to house a temporary House of Commons chamber. This complex project showcases our expertise in large-scale heritage restoration and our commitment to preserving Canada’s iconic landmarks.
